Since I was a kid, I’ve always had an artistic vision…

My Personal Background

Hi there, my name is Tina! I am currently a part-time student at ASU pursuing my Health Sciences degree while working full-time as a Trainer at FedEx. Although I love what I do for my job, my passion for photography has never gone away! I was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, and went to UNC-Chapel Hill for my freshman year hence why I travel often there. When I am not working or studying, you’ll catch me riding my electric scooter with my Aussie, Kody, whitewater rafting, trying out new restaurants, working out, going to a live show/concert (I have been to over 50 shows!) or learning a new skill. If you name something, I most likely have already done it! I am quite adventurous and spontaneous. My mom and dad were both artists, so art has always been in my blood!

This is a condensed timeline of my artistic and creative journey:

  • nail art

  • jewelry making (was recognized by Junior Achievement in 2010)

  • photography (started in 2012; my main area of expertise)

  • playing the violin (started in 2012; concertmaster for 7 years and performed in the All-County Orchestra twice)

  • oil painting (started with acrylic in 2014 and leveled up to oil in 2018; have sold paintings to several clients)

  • makeup artistry (started in 2018 and mastered it in 2021; I was a Sephora advisor from 2021 to 2022 specializing in skincare, haircare, fragrance, and makeup for all genders; my second main area of expertise)

So, as you can tell, I’ve been doing this art thing for quite some time.

My Professional Background

With over 10 years of professional photography experience, I fell in love with being the sole person to capture once-in-a-lifetime moments.

I started in 2012 shooting sporting events for my school and gained traction with the energy I brought to my shoots. A handful of middle and high school students started to spread the word about my shots and how much they loved them. I quickly gained popularity and soon became known as the main student event photographer for my middle and high school with people screaming about my arrival at games and other various school events. I love the adrenaline and pace of sporting events! To this day, I have covered over 50 sporting events - it is my absolute favorite specialty! And I am forever grateful for my schoolmates because they helped pave the way for my success today.

These are some of the teams I have worked with: Ridge Road Middle School’s Yearbook team, Mallard Creek High School’s Yearbook team, and the UNC-Chapel Hill Yackety Yack Yearbook team!

When I graduated, I quickly became well-versed with a variety of shoots including prom, formals, graduation, seniors, and infants, and am excited to have several wedding shoots coming up in 2022!

I am very flexible, energetic, and easy-going when it comes to my shooting process! If you have never taken professional photos before, do not worry! I make sure all of my clients are relaxed and comfortable with the direction I give. In my sessions, I create natural-looking images that look timeless, and would be honored to lock that memory in with you!
